“Scott’s Sweet Smiles”
program at Schneider Children’s Hospital – Every Friday, members of the
Foundation and other volunteers bring a “candy wagon” to the pediatric cancer
wing and allow the children to sample some of their favorite candies.
 “SCOTT’S
SNACKS”
program at Winthrop-University Hospital - Children will be able to choose treats
from a fully-stocked snack closet after each of their procedures.
“SCOTT’S TREASURES”
program - Children
at Winthrop-University Hospital will be able to choose a gift from a treasure chest
full of smiley toys and goodies.

Schneider Children’s Hospital
- Equipped the pediatric cancer floor with a DVD player for every room, a DVD
library and a new refrigerator for patient/family use.
“Smiles
in a BAG”
program at Schneider Children’s Hospital – All newly diagnosed children entering
the hospital for the first time will be greeted with a bag filled with all sorts
of smiley toys.

Cancer Center for Kids – Winthrop-University Hospital
– Restocked the playroom and waiting area with many large “busy box” toys.
Stony Brook University Hospital -
Provided a video
recorder and a laptop for their patient video program.
Schneider Children’s Hospital
- Each new patient in the bone marrow transplant unit will receive a
CEIVA
digital picture frame for use at the hospital and then to take home with them.
Provided financial
support to other well deserving pediatric cancer-oriented organizations within
the Long Island community, including
Sunrise Day Camp,
Camp Adventure,
The Morgan Center and the McAngels. |
