WHO WE ARE

THE SMILES FOR SCOTT FOUNDATION, INC.

A charity benefiting children with cancer and their families.

“where every smiles means a lot”

The Smiles For Scott Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established to honor the life and memory of Scott Loeb, the son of Debbie and Larry Loeb.  Scott passed away in 2005 from medulloblastoma, a form of brain cancer, at the age of 5.

The objective of the Foundation is to raise funds to enhance the care and lives of children afflicted with cancer.  The Foundation was named in recognition of Scott’s contagious smile.

Soon after Scott’s passing in October 2005, Debbie, Larry as well as several family members and friends decided that something positive had to come out of this tragic experience.  Being a young cancer patient or being the family of a young cancer patient is not easy.  No longer are days considered routine or ordinary.  Some patients and families need financial assistance for necessary medical equipment, others special learning assistance, and others, if not all, a comfortable place to convalesce with creature comforts that many of us take for granted.  Trying to make each day a little easier for these children and their families is what the Foundation is all about.  Drawing on the experiences of the Loeb’s and others, the Foundation set out to start making a difference.
